Garbage House of The Future?

We all know how important it is to recycle, but one local couple went a bit further and made a house entirely of Eco-Friendly materials.
Some people call it a garbage house…they call it an Earthship. Annie Warmke says that unlike a real house, this one can fully function on its own.
The Warmke’s began construction in 1996 and hope to be done within a year. In the meantime, they are busy giving tours like the one they gave today to Wilson Elementary School.
Principal Flora Martin says her school received an OSHA grant to be able to learn about how to be Earth-friendly.
Annie’s husband, Jay, is hoping they can move into their new dwelling in the spring.
Annie says this is the wave of the future.
