Natural Fiber Weaving

Sometimes you just need a day away from this insane 24/7 world we seem to have created
for ourselves. This is why Blue Rock Station has created a series of women-
Join Brenda South, owner of Log Cabin Weaving in her shop just outside of Carlwick for an afternoon of learning and fun with weaving – for beginners or seasoned pros.
Brenda calls herself the local shepherdess and she has been weaving and spinning for over 20 years. Her sheep produce the wool she uses in her weaving. (You can even visit the wool “factory” as they graze nearby). The shop at Log Cabin Weaving features three different sizes of AVL looms that can weave projects ranging from tea towels to afghans and rugs.
After the weaving lesson, we will make a short trip to enjoy a proper cup of tea and scones inside Ohio’s first “Earthship” with Annie Warmke at Blue Rock Station as part of the afternoon fun. Come with friends or on your own. Reservations are required because space is extremely limited (we will only take 6 students for this event). The fee is $25.
