Making Jams & Jellies

Food preservation is an important part of eating healthy.  Canning, the art of using glass jars to keep food for many years, is coming back into fashion because it is clear that if you want healthy food for your family, affordable healthy food, then America's cooks are going to have to learn more about food security and preservation.

Learn from the experts - Brenda South and Annie Warmke will show you how to make one jam and one jelly out of fresh fruit, which you can take home at the end of the day.  Learn the entire process so that you will have success every time once you're on your own.

The day will begin with preparing the fruit.  Learn to use a canner,pressure cooker, and other equipment associated with the art of food preservation.

A lunch including delicious gluten-free waffles will be served so everyone can enjoy the fruit of their efforts.

Sign-up early because this workshop promises to be quite popular.
